On Wednesday, the Technology SPDR ($XLK) closed at 38.42. That marked an exact 50% retracement of the 2000-2002 decline, to the penny.

While we don’t put a ton of stock into the 50% retracement level, given the magnitude of this pattern in $XLK, perhaps it is due more than the typical respect.
