Tactical Update: April 8, 2025 (PREMIUM-UNLOCKED)

Turnaround Tuesday…
Turnaround Tuesday works better after intra-day weakness. Therefore, we were not surprised to see the strong open fade. In fact, we mentioned in the DSS that is was a likely scenario — and a preferred one. As mentioned, turnarounds work better following weakness. Thus, the drop into negative ground could pave the wave for another perceived rug-pull and widespread “give-up”…which could pave the way for a more durable rebound. Remember, regardless of the headlines, we are at washout levels that should support a bounce. That’s why we shifted to a Short-Term BULLISH OUTLOOK yesterday. Therefore, we will cover some more shorts here as indices have turned slightly negative:
- We covered (sold) 1/6 of our position in the inverse S&P 500 fund, SPXU, near ~33.51 (~2.5% short exposure now, with leverage)
- We covered (sold) 1/6 of our position in the inverse small-cap fund, TZA, near ~23.50 (~2.5% short exposure now, with leverage)
- *UPDATE: We covered (sold) another 1/5 of our position in the inverse small-cap fund, TZA, near ~25.00 (~2% short exposure now, with leverage)*
- *UPDATE: We covered (sold) another 1/5 of our position in the inverse S&P 500 fund, SPXU, near ~36.00 (~2% short exposure now, with leverage)*
- *UPDATE: We covered (sold) 1/6 of our position in the inverse crude oil fund, SCO, near ~23.00 (~2.5% short exposure now, with leverage)*
- *UPDATE: We covered (sold) 1/6 of our position in the inverse crude oil fund, SCO, near ~23.00 (~2.5% short exposure now, with leverage)*
- *UPDATE: We added a small trading position in the long semiconductor fund, SOXL, near ~7.69 (~1% exposure, with leverage)*
That’s all for now. Check back on this post throughout the day for further portfolio moves. And as always, stay tuned to our DSS posts for further developments — they provide the most current updates to our investment portfolio and outlook.
